Reading to Kids is a grassroots organization dedicated to inspiring underserved children with a love of reading, thereby enriching their lives and opportunities for future success. I put this my reading center and many of my students enjoy it. Some of the explanations are a little baffling--the eagle asserts that success requires poise, which means, "be yourself." A teacher read it to his class back in first grade and since then he has checked it out from the library on a regular basis and we read it together at bedtime.
