The hotel is set amid 6 acres of formal gardens and 23 acres of parkland. Unfortunately there was a cracked tile on the floor which you could feel under foot so I left a towel over it for our stay. It would definitely not be suitable for anyone disabled, as there is no lift and we had to walk at least five minutes up and down stairs to our room overlooking the wonderful knot garden. The staff were really helpful and made this so easy to organise.
