But given the unfortunate circumstances, we did discount your room in order to compensate for the inconvenience. Glad you enjoyed your stay in the heart of the "Danish Village in Solvang, CA" we hope to see you again. I booked this hotel based on the pretty good yelp reviews so I was disappointed when we checked in. The first time I booked a tower king room which had a fireplace inside the room. It is pricey. Great rooms and would not hesitate to stay here again. In our room we had a microwave, TV & fridge. Room was nice. Everything is walking distance.
This is my new go to place!Thank you for the 5 Star review and your patronage. Centrally located in the heart of Solvang but 1 street away from the main road so theres 0 street noise and it's packed full of character. Our room smelled very heavy of animal urine. Not too picky. But when a guest waits for more than 24 hours before letting us know that we need to correct a situation, and depending on occupancy, our options could be limited. The one star rating is because I don't think customer service is that important to them. No coffee refills and nothing but the danish. Would stay again, for sure. Had to cancel the other room and they charged $25 for cancel fee within 48 hours. Solvang is adorable and this hotel is a must stay.My husband and I were traveling to Santa Barbara and wanted to stay at Solvang for two nights (Sept 2019). It doesn't look like much from the outside. But it was clean, and safe.
Like "I'm a plastic surgeon and vacation here" expensive. Grounds are nice, koi ponds beautiful. Cancel. Whenever you come, as soon as you get there they give you a package of Danish cookies and you get a pass for free breakfast at the Danish bakery across the street. . Nice person checking us in and a great experienceWell. This room is definitely not worth the price they charge to stay here. Good location, quaint. The gentleman who came in to look at our heating unit was polite.This property is awful otherwise - the rooms are really the size of a tiny bedroom in a small house.
However, the policy is clearly stated on your confirmation paperwork which I pointed out to you during our many conversations and e-mails with one another. We had a very nice view of the mountains. We have also added this to the housekeeping list of things to check.We ended up calling last minute and we were able to get the large cottage. We added a third pug, which became a "grumble" and "our place" would not budge on the two dog limit. 1st the woman at the front desk was very nice/informative and made us feel at home.
As I looked it was fleas and they were all over my bed. I called Wine Valley Inn and they welcomed three small dogs! Towels were ok. Pillows were fine. Power wash sidewalks, all those dogs going potty is gross (but we love dogs). Is Solvang Inn and Cottages located near the city center?Yes, it is 0.01 miles away from the center of Solvang. I did as they said and only after Orbitz contacted them did they mention that if I cancel I would have to pay a fee. A suggestion is that both names be put onto the room's registration form in order to avoid this type of situation in the future.This is most definitely the most expensive little hole in the wall "inn" I have ever seen. Yes, it offers wheelchair access.
I got a small cottage room 115 so this review is for the cottage only, not the Inn where most of the unhappy reviews staid.
