The Silver Campground is about three miles northeast of the town of Cloudcroft in a group of three recreation areas. In June 2017, we stayed in our Travel Trailer at Apache Campground (Lincoln National Forest) in Cloudcroft, NM.
The campground offers toilet facilities and one water spigot.

Midtown Mountain Campground & RV Park 26.3 miles away from Cloudcroft. The campground offers some extras that may offset the lack of privacy including hot showers that are available for a fee and an amphitheater where programs are offered each Saturday evening. I can’t describe how disgusting it was to have to scrape it off the tent in the morning (we had to set up with very little light cause we got there after sunset). There are a couple of tent sites that are set apart from the main tent campsite but the rest are kinda close to each other next to the water. Find a Free Campsite. They also have wood for sale and a convenient store close by if you forget anything. Also, Carlsbad gets hot as balls, but the Lincoln National Forest does not.

They also have a place where you can cook, put food in their refrigerator and plenty of tables to eat and play games on. The owner Royce is a great guy and we enjoyed our stay in his campsite. This campground has toilet facilities and a water spigot . We’re located just off Hwy 82 at mile marker 29, between Cloudcroft and Mayhill on Hwy 82. The campground has a small connector trail that leads to the Rim National Recreation Trail, a 22-mile-long multiuse trail.Less than a mile outside of the town of Cloudcroft, the Pines campground offers camp sites for both RVs and tents.
