Be aware - once you enter narrow treetop metal bridge, cannot go back & is going to be very long jungle trek back to ranger station/restroom.
We did not realize that it was a 4 mile walk round trip. Some elevation but generally flat. The shortest route in and out is via Venus Drive Carpark. It's a one way walk and takes around 15 minutes. Or maybe that was just me being hungry.My only complaint is that the bridge is too short. Featuring an amenities centre equipped with washrooms, showering facilities, lockers, drinking fountains and a food kiosk, the reservoir deck is an ideal venue for warm-ups and cross-country events.

The distance to the entrance of the TreeTop Walk is approximately 4.5 km (1.5 - 2 hr walk) from MacRitchie Reservoir Park and 2.5 km (45 mins - 1 hr walk) from the car park at Venus Drive. If you look at the map, the TreeTop walk makes you take a loop on the Petaling trail and you’ll end up at the Petaling Hut again and walk the Sime Track.Which will bring you back to the very lovely Ranger Station.After what seems like forever, you’ll finally reach PUB and be reintroduced to civilisation. The shortest route in and out is via Venus Drive Carpark.You can either drive to the Venus Drive carpark or take a bus to either of the Flame Tree Park bus stops.If you’re up for walking a bit more, or would like to see more things and make your trip to the TreeTops more fulfilling, take the route I did!I alighted from the Aft Lornie Road bus stop, and then crossed over to the Aft SICC bus stop.While walking down the golf course route, you’ll be able to spot a few funky birds, including a green one I tried to take a photo of but failed miserably. You start off among the trees and not really above them at all, so it is a little confusing because you’ll be thinking But as you walk on towards the middle, you’ll notice that the ground curves downwards like a huge bowl and you’re walking on a chopstick placed on top of it. The worst part of the whole hike was the last 100m before the TreeTop Walk because it is Walking the 250m bridge felt much shorter compared to the hike up, but the view was worth it. Maybe take in the scenery one last time before pulling on that heavy door out of the highlight of your hike.And once you’re out of the bridge, you’ll be facing the daunting sight of stairs.

You will definitely want to spendExcellent walk with extension possible in surrounding reserveThe treetop walk is perhaps the most well-known in the Central Water Catchment and MacRitchie Reservoir area, but it's part of a (relatively) extensive network of easy-moderate trails. I walked the long tar road back out because I can walk directly to the bus stop, but you could go back into the path and hike into the Venus Drive Carpark if you drove there.Otherwise, once you’ve finished walking the entire trail, you’ll go back to the starting point which is either your car or the bus stop.
