Rodney's Oysters never disappoints.
I held my 40th birthday at Rodney's for 25 people and they set us up in a beautiful section of the restaurant upstairs. All the food looked good.My girlfriend and i visited just days before March 2020 shut down, so it wasn't busy but OMG did we ever love the place! The service and food is outstanding.The quality and taste of food is enough reason for me to go back but the service was amazing!! Our Main Menu is offered all day, all night. So it came after the oysters - note that they did give us 4 extra oysters for free in compensation.
It smells like seafood as soon as you walk in. We had the lobster, land and sea entree, oysters and crime brûlée. The rest of the restaurant was not very busy.
No one asked if we wanted another drink or dessert or anything. Delicious! Moving to Calgary it was hard to find good quality oysters and seafood.
Favourite dishes : oysters ( of course), scallops, New England clam chowder. Sounds like a good concept, but unfortunately this meant we got minimal attention through the 2 1/2 hrs we spent at the restaurant. We sent them back. As for the rest of the food I it was quite disappointing for the ridiculous prices.
They helped us with making some delicious oyster selections and then finally helped us with choosing the perfect lobsters. At Rodney's Oyster House we offer canadian food for any occasion. Or book now at one of our other 1560 great restaurants in Calgary. The quality is mediocre, and nothing is done very well. I saw another table order happy hour priced eats - scallop siders, fish tacos and calamari.

Food is very much over priced. We ordered mussels and lobster rolls. The menu lacks descriptions so you really don't know what you're getting.
Well they ran out of the lobster club house and we were told the lobster roll is better. You can tell she takes pride in what she does. We are fairly reasonable people. The oysters are so fresh.
