Students will not be permitted to move into the residence halls prior to their selected time set by the housing office.All new and returning student-athletes are required to complete our athletic training questionnaire. The University is fortunate to have separate facilities for football, soccer, baseball, softball, and golf on campus.The Athletic Training facilities are used for teaching purposes and for the treatment and rehabilitation of student-athletes. The Athletic Training Program has been housed in the McLean Health Sciences Building since Summer 2016.

New student-athletes are also required to complete a physical examination prior to being cleared to participate in intercollegiate athletics. We are working with the USA South Athletic Conference to develop models and conference schedules to prepare for a successful spring experience.
At the end of each day staff will do one more thorough cleaning of the weight room equipment.In student-athlete support areas and locker rooms, enhanced cleaning practices will be employed. Jordan is a native of Pennsylvania where he attended Bloomsburg University for his master’s degree in athletic training and bachelor’s in exercise science. In addition, students in the program will receive individual didactic and clinical instruction in both the classroom and in the athletic training facility from the staff as well as advising and instruction from the Athletic Training Program faculty.Athletic training students gain valuable experience working with the athletes and coaches of the Monarchs nineteen NCAA Division III varsity athletic programs, many of which are nationally ranked and are perennial USA South Athletic Conference powers. The NCAA has provided waivers to help institutions navigate their playing seasons by allowing schools to count playing seasons in number of total days instead of consecutive weeks. There are classrooms and the main athletics gymnasium contained within. Each student is assigned to a certified athletic training staff member for individualized clinical education in a variety of athletic settings.

After much consideration, planning and deliberation, the Presidents Council of the USA South Athletic Conference, of which Methodist University is a member, is announcing the postponement of fall conference athletic competitions until spring due to the ongoing health and safety concerns related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
